Big Run Camp

By Thursday afternoon , most everyone was in town so we headed out to Big Run Camp. We are so lucky that Uncle Bryan and Uncle Jerry are members of the camp so we are able to use it for our reunions. This amazing camp is located in the middle of thick forest land. It is a huge hunting lodge that sleeps about 60 ( Im guessing). The best part of meeting here is that as many family members as possible stay there for the weekend so we just hang out and have an absolutely wonderful time.

What do we do all weekend? Well... we spend lots of time catching up with aunts, uncles and cousins:

We eat, play games ( especially blitz and horseshoes), pick blueberries and shoot the bull.

We eat some more, sit around the campfire, set off some fireworks and make smores.

We eat some more, watch movies, take walks, listen to the aunts & uncles talk about their childhood, and discover what an amazing heritage we have.

We eat some more, look at old photos, catch fireflies, and visit with extended family and friends that stop by.

My grandparents had 9 children, 8 of whom survived to adulthood. With the exception of Dick (who?) all those children were represented at the reunion this year.

We cannot wait to return to spend more time with our AWESOME family. Thanks for a great time everyone!!!
